are those cobwebs i see?

hmm.. it seems ages since i have blogged, yet it has only been about a week plus since my last post. somehow time seems to have went past real slow. had loads of stuff to keep me occupied. new people coming in and all.

last week at summer retreat i remember sharing with some people on how i forsee the year ahead to be very different from the one before. and i have come to realise that this would be the pattern for the next few years. how change would be inevitable. how the people i have come to know over the past year are going to move on, going to move away etc. and one thing i know is, i am not very adaptable to change. i take so long to get comfortable with something, and all of a sudden the rug is swept from under my feet, and my world is sent into a spin.

however, i have also come to realise that God has it all in His hands. that with the departure/absence of familiar faces come the beginning of closer bonds with not-so-familiar faces. so yea, i do look forward to the year, albeit with a bit of apprehension, but i have learnt, that indeed with God's help, i will be able to cope.

while on the topic of new beginnings, today marked the beginning of 2nd year for me. there seem to be loads more asian students this time around. my schedule seems much free-er this time around. i need a job. or more like i need/want a job. time to get on my knees once again.
